Join Hackerspace Charlotte
Becoming a Hackerspace Charlotte member is relatively easy.
First, you could always come by and say hello on our IRC channel or our message board. It’s not required, but the IRC and forums are how many of us communicate whenever we’re not hacking at the space.
Next, be sure to stop by one of our weekly meetings; we hold them every Tuesday @ 7:30pm. Afterwards, ask one of the board members for a tour of the space if you’d like (we’re the folks running the meeting and we’re happy to show you around.) Then, be sure to sign a liability waiver and fill out the webform below and we’ll send you information on payment and other important stuff new members should know.
During your first month, you’ll need to go through a brief new member orientation session. We’d like to show you where all the tools and equipment live, go over rules and policies, and make sure you know some important safety + security information. This is also your chance to ask a bunch of questions about what you’ll have access to. We generally hold these informal orientations after our Tuesday meetings; be sure to schedule an orientation with the facilities coordinator.
Current Monthly Dues:
$50/mo. – Individual Membership
$75/mo. – 2 Member Family Plan
Full 24-hour keyholder access may be granted after 3 months of being a member in good standing. For insurance reasons, you must be over 18 to be a member.
